The Transitioning Families Therapeutic Reunification Model (TFTRM ™), originally conceptualized by Rebecca Bailey, PhD in 2006, and further developed by Cynthia Psaila, LMFT and Jane Dickel, LCSW and Dr. Frank Davis, PhD, at the Transitioning Families Program in California, is an experiential, educational, solution-focused approach to healing families. The breadth of reunification treatment within this model includes families experiencing high conflict divorce, families facing reunification post-abduction or major trauma, and blended families wanting to enhance their transition. After years of working with this population, the team was inspired to develop additional programs under the separate entity of Transitioning Beyond™.
Transitioning Beyond™ is a developing program encompassing several components. Each component rose out of the recognition of a growing need for educational/ training services geared towards those who work in this specialized field or for the struggling families.
